There are several ways to making money online. Some will find sustained income in working only the opps such as secret shopping, completing surveys, etc. , and there is nothing wrong with this. For others, wanting to expand their income, referrals will be a big key. The easiest way to get referrals is through blogging.
Generating referral income can and will be time consuming at first with very little income to show for it. After all, there are only so many hours in a day, and anytime spent on building referrals takes time away from generating that immediate income. But, with a strong commitment, it can be done…and, to the point referral income can way exceed the income from working the opps which translates into much less time working in the long run.
To start building referral income, I recommend starting with a blog and/or website. Why start here? Simply put…so you can communicate to the world. We all have friends, and they are the best place to get a first referral, but to make real referral money, it will take more than 10-20 friends. Once the blog/site is up and running, friends are a great way to start spreading the word about it. For anyone who remembers the old “Faberge” commercial...friends tell two friends and they tell two friends, and so on and so on…..word of mouth is one of the best means of advertising there is…not to mention it’s FREE!!!
So, if you are looking to add referral income to work at home opps, I feel it is important to have a blog and/or site. …There are several companies ready to host new blogs, including Bravenet which will host for free (domain name still has to be registered and paid for).
Free sounds great, but keep in mind “free” means any advertising income that might be generated from the blog is going to go to the host and not to the blogger. At first, that might be okay while building your site/blog, and then upgrade at a later time. Or, there are several hosting companies that will host a blog/site for a minimal amount, and now any advertising income that can be generated from the blog should go the blogger and in the long run might be a better way to start. To pay or not pay for hosting is an individual choice. The cost does not have to be expensive. i.e, Go.daddy.com offers domain registration for $1.99 with the purchase of blog hosting…blog hosting can be as little as $3.99/mo with go daddy.com Obviously, it wouldn't take much advertising income to recoup the cost of blog hosting.
Below are four easy steps to start building referrals:
1.) Start a blog and or/site
2.) Start researching and blogging work from home opps. Of course all bloggers are welcome to come to my blog to get already researched information...Just be sure to register with the programs to get your own referral link...otherwise, if you cut and paste my links, I'll get the referral...not that complain about that...lol.
3.) Maintain and update your blog with new information regularly...this will be imperative to start building a referral base.
4.) Promote the blog/site.
Blogging is not hard, just time-consuming at first. I myself will continue blogging more about the subject and how to build referrals as I blog along.
